Andy Amyx
California-based
art photographer Andy Amyx has consistently honed in upon and refined
his vision over the years. His work not only seems more polished now
but also comes across as more mature, more reflective of the man
himself. Persistence pays off. The female form remains the centerpiece
of Andy's art and figure studies make up a large percentage of what he
does. His images are revelations of sexual power with the female body
adorned and propped up as a pantheon of vibrancy and power.
While
growing up Andy witnessed his mother working as a photographer. They
were living in Houston and New Orleans during those years. Although he
followed a different path by becoming a professional magician and
entertainer, he must of have it in his blood.
For what was once a part-time hobby has blossomed into a fledgling
career as a fine art photographer.
When not engaged in work for an agency he's working on his own portfolio of beautiful and glamorous images of women. His work has been exhibited in several galleries and much like Robert Farber, he has a fondness for
creating posters out of his work. Andy lives in Los Angeles, California.
